The toughest job at any Hockey Club is that of the Head Coach. At the Mustangs we’ve been very fortunate to have a number of great men lead our team and 2017 was no exception.

Coach Michael Flaherty has been very successful in his time at the Mustangs. He served under Coach Brad Vigon as Assistant in 2015 before taking over at the end of that season. In 2016 the club just missed out on a Finals berth. This season we made the Finals weekend but couldn’t quite get past the semi-final. After a slow start to the season finishing fourth was a phenomenal result.

“On behalf of the Mustangs Committee, volunteers , players and fans would like to take this opportunity to thank Michael Flaherty for his service to the club,” said President John Belic. “He is a dedicated, committed, hardworking coach, and we hope he is proud of his achievement with the Stangs.

‘Flattsy’ will not be returning as Head Coach for 2018. We wish him all the very best and look forward to his continued involvement around the Club.”

An Announcement about our new Coaching lineup will be made in the coming weeks.

Season Membership Packages will be launched at the start of December.
