Import Update

Dear Mustangs Family

It is with some disappointment I must advise that our import goalie Travis Fullerton will no longer be joining us for 2019.

Those of you who have followed the sport over time will know there are no guarantees in hockey. Each year we do our level best to hand pick the cream of overseas talent to come to Australia and support our beloved club, but sometimes unforeseen circumstances arise. 

Owing to commitments to the Guilford Flames back in the UK, Travis is unable to travel to Australia. We wish him all the best in his preparations for the World Championships.

Despite this setback, I am extremely confident in our ability to excel this year. Our pre-season preparations have resulted in a team that is fitter and stronger than we have seen in some time. We have some exciting new young talent coming through, as well as some highly skilled, seasoned players on board, and there are still some more imports to come.  

Our first game against Adelaide was a very encouraging start to the season. Today we travel to Perth for a double header that should provide two very challenging games, but I know our boys will be up to the task.

I look forward to seeing you at our next home game on May 11th.
