| MELBOURNE MUSTANGS ALUMNI GAME AND CLUB REUNION March 4th 2023 |

The year was 2010, the date was Saturday the 5th June and at 5pm the Melbourne Mustangs stepped on to the ice for the very first time against the then Western Thunder (now Perth Thunder)This game was part of the exhibition series held during 2010 to enable the Mustangs to be granted a licence to join the AIHL and return the league to an 8 team competition in 2011. The club had plans to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of the Mustangs first stepping out on to the ice in 2020, however the COVID outbreak meant that we have had to delay those plans. A couple of years late, but better late than never we can finally bring back players from the past and some current ones to participate in this long-awaited tribute, including a skills comp followed by a game between past and present players. The club would like to invite all past and present volunteers, members, supporters, sponsors and everybody else to come along for this reunion event. We want to pay thanks to all those people who have made the club possible and who have helped us along the journey thus far. When: Saturday 4th March 2023 Time: Doors open at 3pm with Skills Comp from 4pm and Puck drop at 4:45pm Location: O’Brien Icehouse, 105 Pearl River Road, Docklands, VIC 3008 Entry is FREE to all, however tickets need to be booked through TryBooking here. Bookings will close at 5pm on Wednesday 1st March 2023. Seating can be booked on a first come basis so book in early to secure your preferred seat. Please feel free to share this event with your friends, family and colleagues as we would love to have the stands full of Mustangs fans as we celebrate 10 years of Mustangs hockey. |
