The MOAT: Melbourne Mustangs are pleased to announce the signing of the newest member of the Mustangs family, Canadian defenceman James Isaacs, for the 2016 AIHL season.
Isaacs, 26, last played in the Elite Ice Hockey League with the Coventry Blaze in 2015-2016, recording three points (0-3-3) and 20 penalty minutes in 25 games.
The 1.85m (6'1"), 95kg (209lbs) defenceman brings a winning pedigree as he was on the 2013-2014 EIHL Gardiner Conference Championship winning Dundee Stars; as well as being on the 2010-2011 BCIHL Championship winning team with Simon Fraser University.
Isaacs was also a part of the 2015 IIHF Inline World Tournament gold medal winning Team Canada - defeating Team Finland which had our very own Michael Flaherty as assistant coach.
A native of Victoria, British Columbia, Isaacs brings size, intensity and international experience to the Melbourne Mustangs - please join us in welcoming James "Jimmy" Isaacs to the Mustangs!
